Buy your Cubes from Frede Kristensen of Classic Audio.

He recovers used pairs, takes out the tweeters and refurbished them, has the cubes repainted, including silk screen reprinting of the logo, and restores them to as new condition, for less than 380 pounds.

Ok..thats a bit over the top I think.

I can buy a pair in almost mint condition for 380 pounds...

But I know that they are very rare.

The cubes are like hen's teeth Razz. I know of them changing hands for £700. I was just lucky that Beoworld member Casdave sold me mine included with the sale of Beomaster 5000, Beolab 5000 and Beovox 5000 for a pittence. Bless him!

Depends pretty much on whether you lusted after it, seeing it every day, months and months before you came to own it. I certainly smile at it every time I see it and I've had it over twenty odd years - true love

Clearly the 4500 is the most beautiful of that beomaster series (and in my opinion the most beautiful beomaster ever), but I didn't recommend it thinking the original poster was looking for something older. If you disagree that the 4500 is the most beautiful beomaster ever, simply pick it, flip it over, and put it back down on the table, as you were clearly looking at it upside down. If your name is Peter, and you think it's too shiny, simply move it out of direct sunlight as the manual has already told you to do this anyway!
