I have a BS3 with a Panasonic Plasma (TH 50 with a G10 panel) and a JVD HD1 projector. The BS3 is based on a great concept, however, B&O's take on a couple of things are not 100% compatible with the rest of the world. Furthermore, the software is not even close to be bugfree.

B&O has their own view on color temperature and I am always challenged with the black levels of my setup. The HD1 has an unquestioned performance on black levels with almost no competitor, but with the BS3 it is impossible to take advantage of it. The BS3 does some odd prcessing which I realized when I connected my sources direct to the HD1. Quite disapointing.

The Samsung projector B&O hast listed is completly out of date (ship to market was 2005 as far as I know), furthermore, this one has the typical DLP drawbacks which would be an absolutly no go for me. However, it is fully integrated in the B&O world, so that is an advantage.

From my expirience the BS3 is not build for the high-end video fans, but will impress mot of the B&O customers anyway as they don't care to much about the drawbacks.

I'm in the process of putting cinema set-up together , I am also having a Bs3 at the heart with a Stewart VE82H screen and my local B&o have proposed a Samsung SPH800 at £5800 . I would be interested if anyone has any views on this projector , not the most expensive but would I see a difference paying any more . I am probably a month or two away for being ready , is there better one's on the horizon ?

Hi,

I am thinking of buying an Beosystem3 wich I will connect to a Plasma (but I do not know, Panasonic or an other) an I will have an Beamer in Full HD too.

Do you have experience what is the best solution for this? I will only work with my BEO4.

Maybe you can give me some hints.
