You need the STB-C kit and from experience, these are no longer made. If you are lucky, and have a good dealer, he might track one down for you. The kit is about £100 and there will be a fitting charge as well. Clearly if you get one, it will have the most recent software and will work with Sky+.

Sky+ is quite frankly fantastic and I recommend it whole heartedly. I am not a fan of the Murdoch empire, but it really is much better than the alternative in my experience. Get a Pace box though - the Amstrad ones are unreliable and the power supplies marginal. They also tick all the time. I changed by buying a new Pace and it is fantastic. Integrates with my Avant just as if it were made by B&O. Except better!

Re: MX4000 / DVD1 & new sky + box

No, I haven'y got sky at present, just the 1-5 channels, and to my knowledge I don't have the set top box contol fitted - is there anything I could do?

Re: MX4000 / DVD1 & new sky + box

Have you got the STB-C fitted to the MX4000? Are you using Sky at present? There may be a software requirement as the older STB-Cs did not cover Sky+.
