Also, disconnected the masterlink and it didn't a difference.

Thanks for your help guys, i've got an engineer coming out today, so hopefully the problem will be resolved soon.

Re: Re Avant DVD

Hi there Peter and Darren,

My avant is connected via masterlink to an Overture. It was a loose connection in my ML cabling.

If your Avant is connected via masterlink then I would recommend disconnecting this temporarily if the hard reset which Peter recommends does not resolve the problem.

Re: Re Avant DVD

Is it connected to anything else? Have you done a hard reset? - unplug and leave for 5 minutes and then restart- you will need the PIN. Might be a minor component failure so probably time for a service.

Re Avant DVD

Hey guys,

Strange problem, my Avant DVD switched off yesterday afternoon whilst my father was watching a show. When i press any of the buttons suchs as 'tv', 'sky' or 'power' it takes along time to react and doesn't show a picture. Haven't been able to get it working. Has this ever happened to anyone? Or any ideas of what could be wrong?

Thanks
