that's correct : my own white CX100 have the same goldish looking stripe on the side; the strips have discoloured because of old age...;-)

My white CX100's have what look to be two strips of plastic film along the sides, which appear to be slightly yellow and more glossy than the finish of the rest of the speaker.

From memory, my white CX50 dont have the yellow, but they are packed away, so cant check.

Thanks Peter. The ones I see online look all white too, but I did see one before that looked like it had the gold stripes. I can't remember where it was though.

Hey everyone, I thought I'd contribute a stupid question just in case there's been a shortage recently. I have a pair of white cx-100's, and the two horizontal stripes on the side are a pale gold color. Is this how all the white cx's look? On my black pair the stripes are just a glossier black, so I had thought on the white pair the stripes would just be a glossier white. It's somewhat hard to tell from the pictures online, but the stripes didn't really look gold online, so I thought I'd ask here.
