oh, sorry for the misleading words..

yeh i was referring to the "telephone cable" from the base to the telephone socket. The telephone cable I tested works with normal phones, but not B&O ones... Dealer told me to get a B&O cable...

By the way... i found that particular store in HK was so unprofessional... they did not stock any of those cables... and asked me to buy the one they've been using (no idea for how long)... and of course, I walked off straightaway...

I do not understand your response, you said:-

What are you talking about here, for me the "telephone line" is provided by your telecoms operator and you have previously said that you get a dial tone with another phone. Are you talking about the phone cable from the base to the phone socket ? We now know that your Beocom 6000 phone works, so you must be talking about something to do with the base or its connection to the phone line.

Please explain ?

i've been to the dealer earlier today they said only B&O telephone line works...

they tested my phone and it worked!! but they do not stock the telephone line -___-

Do you mean you do not get a dial tone ?

If so, have you checked the phone line with another phone to make sure it is working ?

Have a look at the serial number if you want the age, the first two digits define the year of manufacture, this year (2008) starts 21

It says MCMXCVII under the base..

does it mean it came outta factory in 1997?

guys.. i just found a Beocom 6000 mk1 at home which has been idled for a while..

It was a very good thing for me at the first place, but then... after I've plugged all stuff in, i found that the phone doesn't sound alright. when i press the telephone button, it makes no sound... then i tried to remove the base and register it once again.. and the problem is still here.

anyone can give a kind advice? Thanks heaps!!
