The Mark I does have CLI, but it does not work in all circumstances and does not detect an incoming call (call waiting) while you are on the phone and report who was calling after you have finished your current call.

In my view the kit is cheap and you get everything except the coloured back cover, battery, microphone and earphone.

Ola,

The kit is about £55 (80 Euros) and includes everything in the picture including the front panel.

You can indeed use the "Conference Call" facility in the Mark II version.
I would say that the Mark II provides a much better user experience in terms of functions and daily use.

My Mark I already has CLI and as for conference I was just thinking of my mother but then again she is mostly alone and probably will not need the conference option unless the cat decides to chime in on any of the conversations.

$70 sounds rather cheap for what is mostly a new phone.

I have found in general that the repairs to B&O I have had were more than reasonable thought a lot is down to our top notch dealer.

It sounds like your phone just has a faulty component and needs to be repaired.
As it is a Mark I you may wish to have it upgraded to a Mark II at a very small cost and it will still work on your Mark I charger.

The key advantages of upgrading include:-

Several parts no longer available to fix Mark I handsets particular the board because the RF chip is no longer made.
The DOT button has a high failure rate
The menu is much easier to use
The CLI works in all situations including providing details of a caller when you are on the phone.
The display is in upper and lower case characters

If you wish to put your phone in storage, then switch it off by pressing and holding the centre until it says "Powering off"

Hi all!

I have five handsets and I've tried to swap batteries between the handsets.

I've also tried to switch the front panel on the faulty handset to se if the power button is defect.

None of these switches resulted in a working phone.

I refuse to agree that the phone is "over and out" since i got it alive a month ago just by putting it in the charger.

Very strange...

Hi:

Yeah, to echo that statement and to clear up any confusion possibly caused by my last, the only similarities between this phone and a mobile is its power source - battery.

It sounds to me like you have damaged the battery by letting it go flat too many times. Thus, I would get another, fresh battery soon and charge/use it in accordance with the instruction manual - rule of thumb - don't let it go completely flat.

Ola, You know the Beocom 6000 is not the same as a mobile phone, you are not supposed to let it go flat before you charge it.
It should be replaced in the charger when not in use, the onboard computer decides when to charge it and when not to.
I know this doesn't help the present problem but bear this in mind when you get going again.
Have you got another handset that you could try swapping the battery with?
