I don't know about Clitheroe, but I do agree about the chap living there : Andy's a nice guy [met him in holland a few years back, without his museum ofcourse ;-]

Well after trying to meet the Clitheroe Kid on several occaisions this summer - I finally managed it last week.(along with herself of course!)

We spent a long time with this wonderful gent - he even provided cake!

As with all enthusiasts a case for me of too much info, not enough time!

Would need to go and camp on his patio to fully apprerciate all the kit etc - I was weell impressed with the computerised music storage playing system etc so much so that I am trying elsewhere on the site to acquire said Beoport etc.

The down side was the return to Nth Worcestershire - hit the M6 at Longridge m/way quiet - thought this is going to be breeze it was until the Thelwall Viaduct then 30 - 40 mph down to Keele services (I'm one of the naughty boys who accesses and exits the M6 at that point) - after that the breeze continued to home journey took about 4 hours should have been less than 3 - c'est la vie!

I realise we may have impinged on Andy's time on an afternoon off work for which we apologise but what a knowledgeable man!

A visit should be part of every Beophiles cloning/indoctrination

Maybe coach trips?

Seriously though a truly wonderful experience!

Hey!! What a pleasure it was having you round last night Pete.
A big thankyou for the (Longridge Extra Large) Hosten Pils too mate got one on the go now.
I am aware my home is slowly turning into a museum. I like to think I have the best set-up from the sixties with my Lab/Master/Vox 5000 and cubes, and also the best set-up from the nineties (Beosystem 7000, Pentalabs, 8000s and Avant.)
Still working on the seventies, eighties and noughties though!

I had the pleasure of nipping round Andy's home in Citheroe last night, boy is Andy dedicated! I had the pleasure of listening to B&O i only dreamt of in my formative years. This included a bit of vinyl. A lovely demo of surround sound featuring Penta's at the front and 8000's at the rear, yes 8000's at the rear, and a Avant in the middle...awesome.

I'd just like to publically thank Andy for his hospitality...hope his house doesn't get burgled now!
