Total flexibility is probably impossible to achieve.

He is also correct when he says that you cannot have 2 master devices in the same system. One is master and one is slave.

I don't think your dealer is confused, he is just telling it like it is!

Any talk of Beosound 5 is premature. Unless coolskin knows something that I don't, we don't really know what BS5 is or what facilities it has. Don't confuse yourself or your dealer by considering it. We know such a product may exist but the launch date is far from clear and we could all be very much older before it becomes reallity.

Re: Beolink

Info Beosound 5

http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/thread/87914.aspx

http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/thread/79472.aspx

http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/thread/19790.aspx

Re: Beolink

Do you have time to spare?

This year the new Beosound 5 will be added to the product list. This audio system will (most probably) have the functions of BS3200 and Beomedia packed together. Radio + harddrive + beoplayer sw + N.Radio + N.Music (sorry no CD).

There is no info how the CD can be stored on the BS5, but I'll guess it can through your BC2. Maybe similar to the Apple Airbook and CD storage facility. http://www.apple.com/macbookair/wireless.html

You should go the digital route. ADD beoport with N.Radio and N.Music to your system.

Re: Beolink

I'm not the expert! Your dealer should be.

I for one should link all equipment via master link (ML). All speakers without audio in the same room linked to the B&O eye and ML.

Make the BC2 master and BS4 slave. Your dealer knows how (I don't).

The CD and Radio functions will be locally. DVD and A.MEM are compatible.

Bonus is when your bro wants to listen to your CD. He just selects DVD.

Try to get your dealer to set up a BC2 and BS4 (NOT IN THE SAME ROOM) linked via ML.

He has all that it takes.

Beolink

Hi, I'm planning on installing BeoCenter 2(my room) and BeoSound 4(bros' room) along with two pairs of 8000s, 6000s, a pair of Beolab 3 and a pair of 4000s in my new house. All this equipment will be installed in different rooms throughout the house. I am looking for a flexible solution wherein my bros can listen to his music (BeoSound 4) in any room he likes and I can listen to any kind of music (BeoCenter 2) in any room i like and we both should also be able to listen to the same music in every room in case we have a party or something. We also would like to be able to connect the speakers with our own MP3 players and our laptops. Does any one have any ideas coz the B&O store here is maybe not fully qualified or a bit confused about the whole issue. They say that they cannot provide this kind of flexibility. A set of speakers can only be installed to one master and not two. But then Im wondering what happened to the concept of Beolink and Beoliving????? I have also ordered for Lutron homeworks system with keypads compatible with B&O remotes. But if im not able to get flexibility in my music then the money being spent on the system is not justified. Any comments???
