Will do. I just have to choose the right CD. Although I'm now quite sure I'll take the BS1, seems like a better deal.

And since I'm there, when do you think I should also play a track on BL5s. Before the BS1, after or never : )

Get the BeoSound 1.I have one since 5 years and it sounds better than BL4.

The BeoSound 1 is stereo. The stereo might be better with BeoLab 4s either end of a room, but the punch and sound of the BeoSound 1 is far superior in my opinion.

BeoSound 1 is also portable sound, so you might want to bare this in mind as a possible advantage. I love picking up my BeoSound 1 and playing it somewhere new.

Just try out the Beosound 1 on a slow day at the dealer. Take your favourit CD and put it in the CD drive.

Ask the dealer to turn the volume slowly up to 60 (max = 70). Try different positions away from the Beosound 1.

The Beosound 1 will blow away the BL4 for sure.

The BS1 has much better speakers than the BL4 are! Get the BS1!

I have a Beosound and until about 2 days ago Beolab 4 PCs in a small apartment. The beosound 1 is by far the best. The Beolab 4 PC are better than most of the reviews on the internet but the beosound just sounds better all round.

Get the BeoSound 1! You won't be disappointed...

The BeoLab 4s as a package can't touch the BeoSound 1 (which is one of B&O's best products IMO!).

I'd say it sounds better too...

I'm thinking of getting a BeoSound 1 in the near future. I was looking at the BeoLab 4 PC at first, but the BS1 is so much better looking ( although I love those lights on top of BL4s ), has a CD player, alarm clock and I imagine it also sounds much better. So the choice seems kind of obvious. Kind of.

This would be in my small studio apartment and as much as I would love to, anything bigger/louder would just be risking my neighbours kicking me out. I would mostly use it for listening to CDs and also as a speaker for my MacBook Pro ( maybe via AirPort ).

So how much better does the BS1 sound, when comparing it to the BL4 PC? Is the price difference worth it? The BL4 PC is around 800 - 900€ here and the BS1 with a floor stand is 1900 €.

I would love to hear your experience and advice.

PS. I intended to use it with a Beo1, until I found out it only works with BV1 and BC1. How stupid was that? Any idea why they limited it to only those two?
