Thanks anyway for the reply. The B&O engineer has phoned Struer and they do not have any idea either. So should be an interesting visit when they call to see me.

Thanks again

David

Re: BV5 Acting Strangely

Does this happen with all AV sources available to your set, ie TV, SAT/STB and/or DVD (if you have any connected, that is) etc.? - If not my guess would be that it might be scart not connected properly - or something else wrong with the cabling perhaps. This can happen especially if one uses the motorized stand (they tend to 'loosen' in their sockets). That said, this issue would though hardly be helped by turning the set on and off... Always best to start checking the least complicated things such as cables. Otherwise no idea, sorry.

Re: BV5 Acting Strangely

Anybody willing to even have a guess at my issue below?????

Many thanks

David

BV5 Acting Strangely

Just wondered if anyone had any clues regarding the behaviour of my BV5. At least once a day the picture fades away but the sound remains. When I turn the TV off there is a high pitched tone. When I turn it on again the high pitch tone is heard for a few seconds then the TV sound kicks in but no picture. Turning the TV off and on again finally gets back the sound and picture. I had this issue before (about 8 months ago) but the B&O engineer did not know what it was. However the problem disappeared after his visit. He basically removed the frame and speaker cover and cleaned away some dust. As I said I would love to hear if anyone has any ideas around this before calling in the engineer again. Many thanks as always

David
