I am settling in on the BV8 as well I think. I looked at it this weekend. I don't care for tuner or surround, I watch mostly DVDs but have a hard time understanding speech and the BV8 has nice clarity through the integrated speaker. I don't care much for surround, mostly because if the cable issues for the rear speaker. Not worth the clutter in my opinion.

As I would want/need a BC2 I come close to what the BV7 will cost without speaker but I couldn't find a suitable table stand and I am also afraid it is too massive for my small apartment, with speaker even worse.

I love that the BV8 matches my BL3/BL2 look. For the 1 HDMI port, I don't think this is an issue as there are automatic switchers. As for the missing sleep timer, I will be using it in the living room so no worries here.

I will go back next weekend and ask for a demo with the Lab3/Lab2 attached. If the clarity of speech stays as good as it was with the integrated speaker I think I am sold.

Can you return the wireless ML? Maybe just try it out. I am sure your dealer is up for that if you buy the Bv8.

Hi Stan....I don't know anything about the wireless system...I hardwired everything...sorry..

BUT....call BnO dealer and ask for a "PC input adapter" for a Beolink Active...it plugs into your PC port (you mentioned above)....and goes to 2 RCA inputs....so your TV or other sound inputs there...i'm doing this so i know it works..

THen you can toggle between your master system sound and the local input plugged into your PC port of your active...

In one of those "gloom and doom" threads (which has ended and I don't want to start it again, especially since this question is off the topic of that thread anyway), the user "Frank Rizzo" said "you can connect your non BnO TV to the active very easily with a PC Input adapter......and it'll switch back an forth between the master system (via ML) and the RCA input from your non-BnO TV."

I'm having problems finding additional information on this (I see my BeoLink Active has a DIN labeled "PC", but cannot find other info). I also wonder if the Wireless 1 also has this capability. The manual shows 2 DIN sockets, but both are connected to speakers.

I knew I should have stayed away from here . I *thought* I had everything I needed for a while... but, I'm back on this forum for a week, and I just got a quote for ~5K USD for BV8 + 2 BLWireless + ML Module + some other odds and ends...

In the past, I've read negative comments on the Beolink Wireless1 with respect to interference.... Does anybody have anything positive to say (of course the dealer said it was "great")? I live in lightly populated area (I can sometimes see one or 2 of my neighbors' wireless networks at the very lowest signal strength), and run a Wi-Fi network + beocoms in my house so I don't think outside interference would be much of a problem in my location. I realize that wireless will not be as good or reliable as wired, but I'm leaning toward the wireless because I have a large house, and it's a long way between my stereo, my bedroom and kitchen (future expansion). I'm also not 100% sure on the long-term placement of my main system.

I guess while I'm asking questions, any comments on the BV8 (still not totally sold on this setup). Yes, I know it has but 1 HDMI, no surround and, at least in the US, no tuner (no sleep timer, either) and none of the BS3 goodies... but it *does* have a much better picture than my current TV (a budget minded toshiba), very good sound (probably good enough for bedroom music listening?) and (most importantly) beo integration. Expensive, sure... but what does this company make that isn't?
