The dealer with being so new could not get a service manual as they are no longer in print so the best option was to send back to Bang & Olufsen service in gloucester,

Unfortunatly due to the age of this product the parts are no longer in stock, ( keeping parts in stock up to 10 years after the item has seased production ) The cost of £50.00 will be for insured collection and delivery to gloucester and for the engineers time to open up the amplifier and test it to locate the problem and then to put back together.

Derby have an enginner who has serviced Bang & Olufsen for the last 10 - 15 years and as long as he can get the service manual and the parts can repair pretty much any product.

hi its phil again, i've actually got 2 beolab 3000 speakers that have faulty amps.one packed up all together and after inspection i found no obvious faults. i then sent it for repair at bang & olufsen of derby, their engineer could not repair it so they sent it to bang & olufsen uk ltd. i've just been informed that they also cannot repair it as the main amp board (faulty) is now obsolete. their now chargeing me £50 for looking at it ! can you help me obtain the relevent parts ? or lead me to a fully working amp unit. the amp is the same on both beolab 3000 & 5000 speakers. its possable that the later beolab 4500 speaker (looks the same as beolab 3000 but with green display instead of orange) would have the same circuit boards ? could you please clarify ?

has anyone got spare circuit boards and the display unit for the amplifiers on these speakers (orange display) the fault on my speaker is on the display side only as all segments are lit at all times.
