Yes, I first doubt it as well, so I unplug my TV but still not working.

I'm also using a Beolink Control Eye as the receiver.

is there any way to set BeoMaster or Beo4 to use TV as Aux?

I think the problem is that the Plasma panel's emissions overpower the infra red signal from the Beo4.
Try doing a search on here, for 'Beo4 Plasma'

OMG......I finally find this post, I hope there is anyone can help me out......what I need is exactly his problem, :) I'm now using a Beo4 and Beomaster 6500 paired with Beolab 6000, My tv is a panny plasma, I used to be able switch to AUX by pressing TV button, but weired enough, Beo4 quit doing that on some rainy day......

now, my DVD SAT TV, and V.Tape button is useless on Beo4, I'm now using Lintroic 238 to translate the Beo4 to TV, but I really miss the old days when Beo 4 can switch to Aux simply by pressing TV......

I've tried V.Opt, A.Opt, Config it to Video 1 and Audio 1. .....but still no hope.....so help me if you happen had the same problem....thanks...

You might consider connecting the two one day, especially if you get some active speakers.

Sorry, I was assuming they were unconnected! If they were connected, you would have complained about duplicating numbers. ie pressing channel 2 would have resulted in 22.

They Avant and Beomaster are not connected, the beomaster is connected to a pair of passive speakers. How do I set these options? I only have the manul for the Avant not for the Beo4 or Beomaster... thank you the reply!

You need to change the options of both the audio and video so they only react to audio or video commands.
With Beo4 press standby and list simultaneously, then up arrow til you get 'Option?'.

Press go and it should say V.OPT press the correct number (I think it is 1)
Do the same again for your audio.

It all depends how you are using them. If they are connected, then they need to be set to the correct option. It would be normal to connect the speakers to the Avant and set it to option 2 and the 6500 to option 0. If unconnected, they need both setting to option 1. It tells you in the manual how to set the options.

Hi!

I'm a newbie att B&O products and just got an old beovision Avant and a beomaster 6500. My problem is that the Beo4 "controls" both these at the same time so to speak. If I have my TV and Beomaster turned on at the same time and tries to raise the volume on the TV it turns upp the volume on the Beomaster as well and vice versa... and if I've selected TV on the remote and press the stby-button it turns of the beomaster as well... When I turn on the TV by pressing the TV button on the Beo4 the Beomaster starts up as well with the "AUX-connection" selected.. should it really behave like this?

Very tankful for any help!
