I am guessing it is not 2-way because of its type and information given on the BeoWorld site: http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=393

It also writes that 2616 is definitely 2-way, like you said AT.

That's too bad, I don't have the proper type for what I want to do. Sometimes you have to update your system if you want to use "advanced" options...

Unfortunately, I can't confirm the 2611, but I have a 2616 - and it's a two way model. For absolutely sure, because I use it with a BL7000 :)

So, if I know well, my BC is a later model, so I think, Your 2611 used to be a two way model.

Anyway - why do You think, that Yours is one way only?

If the 2300 is not two way, the 5000 cannot program it. Sorry!

My BeoCenter 2300 is definitely not 2-way.

Concerning the BeoSound 9000, its timer is controlled using the master, i.e. the Avant. Turning on the timer on BeoSound says: TV Operated. Turning on the timer for the radio on the Avant turns on the BeoSound.

My last hope is that I can program timer play using BeoLink 5000/7000 even if the BeoCenter is not 2-way. However, I don't a BL 5000/7000... yet.

Did somebody already tried it or knows if this would work?

You did say that you have a BeoSound 9000 in the main room? Have you set it's timer and tried that yet?

I don't really hold out much hope for you, as the 2300 and 4000/Overture didn't have the capability of becoming 'link' systems. But I will be interested to seew how this plays out.

Hi!

You can easely determin if your BC2300 is two-way or not. If it has an IR-eye on the bottom left side (below the glass door) it is an two-way unit.

No, You know it wrong The BC2300 has a perfect timer system, the only "problem" is, that You can use it only with a BL5000 or a BL7000 remote... if You have it, than You can setup daily/weekday/weekend programs both for radio or CD.

Thanks Lee for bumping my post. ;-)

I have checked all the options on the Avant but no chance: all timer options accessible are for the sources hooked directly to the video master. No timer options for audio/video slave in link room.

I have also checked with a BV6 in a link room. The timer play for this TV is adjustable directly on the set.

So I guess I have to find a BeoSound that has a timer option, unless somebody has a good tip.

Not sure a Video Master could trigger an Audio Slave to perform a 'wake up call' - but if it can be done, i'm sure someone on here knows!!

Hello,

I am looking to install my BeoCenter 2300 (type 2611) into the bedroom, masterlinked (using the Beolink converter) to my main system setup (Avant CTV+BeoSound 9000). So far so good.

I also wish to use my BC2300 as an alarm clock to wake me up with music for a perfect day ;-)

As I know that BC2300 doesn't have any timer function, could I instruct the timer function of the Avant (master) to wake up the BC2300 at a specific time? How could it work?
