The way I see it this is a product liability issue. The safety feature was added to prevent any lawsuits.

Try the following, if you have a BV7;

Start the timer mode in TV mode.

Start the timer mode in RADIO mode 1 minute before TV shutdown.

Stop the timer mode 1 minute later for RADIO and TV.

Our BV7 radio stand is position 5 (centered)

Our BV7 tv stand is position 7.

Edit: Tried this on my own setup. No luck either. Sorry.

It seems there is no workaround to get the tv turning without intervention.

There is no safetyfeature in these tv's... there is not enough power and speed to hurt anybody.

agree that i can manually move mine w/ it powered off.

per martin's quote: there is absolutely not enough torque to cause any damage to anything or anyone.

i would be more concerned about a child climbing up and possibly tipping it over. then gravity is the issue, not the torque of the rotation.

You are right, one have to be in the same room and turn the set off with the STANDBY command to make the set turn to neutral position. It can't be done from a link room or from timer programming.
I haven't heard that you can disable this feature.

Hmm, i find that to be quite odd. If there is absolutly no chance that anyone will get hurt, why not make it possible to disable this function?When using timerfunction at night i wake up and the TV has not turned to its standby position. I then have to turn it on and turn it off again?

Dont misunderstand me, the feature is very very neat if you have children or maybe a dog that could get stuck or something.

as far as I know, there is no such feature. I can easily turn my BV7 (on motorized table-stand) to whatever position by hand, if it is switched on or not. Has this changed in the meanwhile? (my BV is from 2006???)

The only way you can make the TV turn to a specified position when it switches on is by defining a video-position in the stand-menu.

Hi,

the position of the tv can or must be stored. If you turn on the tv, it will move to the stored position.

There is no safetyfeature in these tv's... there is not enough power and speed to hurt anybody.
