Yes, internally but as i have said earlier it is possible to control (limited) the PS3 with IR via USB interface.

Regarding the two way possibility from what people are saying this sounds like a new method for two way comm? and not similar to say the method (right word?) used by the old school remotes?

So... if the remote is sold can it still be upgraded at a later date to two way? like a module replacement etc?

My guess is that it is programmable exactly like a Pronto via the USB port and can output 455Khz and 40Khz IR.

Hi Frog. The impression I got in Struer is that, to start with, programming will be done by your dealer but as everything gets sorted out and any little glitches ironed out then we will be able to do it ourselves.

I wonder if the STB-C of my BV-7 can also be upgraded to handle the Apple codes??? How much does it cost to upgrade the STB-C software on a BV7?

I thought the STB-C is a better idea than a programmable remote for these reasons:

- The ugly non box set-top bax can be hidden

- It works from link rooms

I wonder in the Beo5 is able to actually tell the STB-C to emit the code rather than emiting it itself...

I mentioned in a thread a few days ago that i have my PS3 working with IR control. There is an OEM remote and base available which is connected to the PS3 via one of the USB ports.

Mine is working well with my Beo4 using a Lintronic box, so it is possible although the functions available are limited to the basics. I hope in time that this will be expanded on.

The PS3 uses Bluetooth to communicate, and I haven't haerd of any IR capabilities. It's possible though that they have added this as an extra (you'd expect them to, considering the price).

The color keys are actually on the play/pause etc but you dont hit those buttons if u want to use the color keys, you actally push down on the wheel where the color is (think of serene for OK, C, Green and Red). The center arrows are used for navigation of menus on screen, like a guide on your satelite and stuff like that. The arrows around the wheel are to change channels, fast forward and rewind.
Had a lot of training on it, it is honestly a great product, they said no 2 way communication but you never know. You can also add 3rd party products via the PUC directly into the remote.
It is fully customizable. A sure hit im sure.

You are sure with the 3rd party products, so i can use the beo5 for my apple tv and ps 3....?
