Have been all too busy with other stuff to check if someone answered my question. But actually I do like the Beolink 5000! I've also had 3 of them. But I took all the good parts and put them into one remote. Works very good now actually! The battery problem is easily solved, just to increase the tension to the batteries.

Simon

Re: Beolink 5000 and TV

Quite common. The battery contacts are flimsy and don't maintain their pressure on the batteries. The other problems that you do have are also common. The whole thing is notoriously unreliable in particular they nearly always have pixels missing in the display.

Re: Beolink 5000 and TV

Peter:

The problem you may have after that is that it will keep resetting to two way. How common is this? It has never happened with my BL5000s (I've got three of them). They have lots of other problems though (one has display problems, another one doesn't work in two way mode...) :-) :-(

Re: Beolink 5000 and TV

Talk about delayed reaction!!
Two months and one week!
Is that because of Peter's spelling mistake?

Andy T.

Re: Beolink 5000 and TV

Thank you!

/Simon

Re: Beolink 5000 and TV

I guess the MX6000 is a one way one so you need to set the Video to one way. Look at page 22 of the instruction book but essentially when the system is in standby, press menu and TRMINAL SETUP? is displaced. You can then set it to Video One Way. The problem you may have after that is that it will keep resetting to two way. This is the default position and resets because the battery connections in the Beolink 5000 tend to go loose.
