Actually Andy it is to do with voltage and that is why they changed the shape of the charging pins but the issue is not with old handsets on new chargers but the other way round. So, pairing an old handset with a new charger is no problem at all.

It's not a voltage issue, it's to do with the shape of the charging pins.
The old handset will charge in a new charger, but a new handset will not charge in an old charger.

Hi,

I´m thinking about buying a new wall charger for my "old" Beocom 6000 handset (with the grey keypad).

Does anyone know whether the new triangular wall charger, in brushed aluminium, will accept my old handset?

I´ve read about some sort of voltage change in the new chargers??
