So, if You are going to the menu, go down with the left-right buttons, and then use the up/down to change the input mode from "*" to fe. video to activate the AV channels.

Maybe the problem is here.

If not, then I'am clueless, because the Shift+9 S-Video change was never worked on my MX5500 also :( I've tryed everything, tryed to use the S-Video input from a notebook, but I was not able to get the picture :(

So, if somebody have any additional idea, I'am also interested in it :)

Re: Connecting Beovision MX3500 with computer?

Hi:

Yes I am using a scart adaptor too, however I do have one of those computer to TV adaptors for if you do not have a video out graphics card (like an idiot I forgot to check and went out and bought it anyway). Unfortunately, it seems to me that perhaps (I am still unsure so perhaps you should ask the question in a different thread to see) the TV is too old to be compatible with a computer signal. However, I really am just imagining that this is the problem and this is not grounded in fact!!

Re: Connecting Beovision MX3500 with computer?

Im using desktop. Are you using a desktop or a laptop?

If you are using a desktop and you have a video out port I would suggest connecting the monitor also so that you can change the settings etc and see if it makes any difference on the TV.

This got me stumped for a while so might be the problem.

Turn your PC completely off and then turn it on - does anything appear on the screen. What happened with mine is that a picture would appear whilst in dos mode but once windows had booted it would go blank again. This is because you need to adjust your resoloution in control panel till it displays.

Also I am not a fan of S video when connecting TVs to computers. Why not use a scart to composite adaptor and a phono cable to do the same job that way you can connect the sound as well. This is my setup and it works quite well.

Let me know if this helps...

Re: Connecting Beovision MX3500 with computer?

Do you have a notebook?
