So it was as I thought... thanks a lot!
I just wanted to be sure, otherwise I would have been too nervous about it..

The setup is in a small room that there won't be need to got that much sound. And yes, most likely I would hear the distortion before anything would blow up.

The S75 speakers are really good, I got mine for about 40 euros some half year ago and I've been very satisfied with them. I just two weeks ago replaced the caps and that made it even better. Mine are also rosewood covered, they were a bit worn out but I have grinded the surface and oiled them so they really look great. I also got the medal stands (those were a bit rusty-fixed now). And the BC1400 is also rosewooden, as good-looking as the speakers.

As Peter says you will only hit problems if you play your music very loudly. I use My Beolab 1700 (similar amplifier to yours I think) with a pair of S45-2s but very rarely push the volume slider as far as half way.

If loud music is important to you, or you need to fill a large room with sound, you may wish to invest in a more powerful amplifier, but for listening in a normal room at normal volumes you will have no problems at all.

That system is fine. The S75s are surprisingly efficient and the amplifier in the 1400 is really not bad and can cope with low impedances fine. If you play the volume at nearer 10 , then the distortion can be harmful but I dare say your ears will warn you of this. I love the S75 speakers - I had a beautiful rosewood pair that looked and sounded wonderful. I used them with a Beomaster 2400 that was rated at 30W.

Remember that most of the time, you will be listening at less than 1W!

I have a Beocenter 1400 with Beovox S75 spekers. The amplifier is rated 2 x 20 watts RMS or 80 watts total music and the spekers are designed to handle up to 75 watts RMS.

Is this combination Ok? I have read that speaker can be damaged if played with too weak amplifier (distortion). Is there a risk for that? The system has been working very well, and there's no need to adjust the volume higher than 4 (from scale of 0-12) with weaker aux inputs. Also the amplifier seem to be running very cool, after some hours of use the heat sink (grill) is hardly warm.
