I am assuming it was set to a non default value for a reason ? At that frequency you may be getting cross channel interference depending where you live. I suggest that before you check the cables you change the link frequency to 591 and re-tune all your link TV's

Re: Ghosting on link TV

Hi Keith,

Yes the Sky+ is conected via scart lead and the link output is connected to the B&O amp.

I will check the cable to the amp tommorow to see if that helps things. My link frequency is 527 but I don't know how to fine tune this? Could you point me in the right direction please?

Cheers,

David.

Re: Ghosting on link TV

David,

I am assuming that the Sky+ box is connected to the AVANT in the normal way via the SCART and the AVANT RF (link) output is connected to the B&O link amplfier ? please confirm.

If the above is true then your faint lines will be either caused by fine tuning of the link frequency required (default is 591) or an impedance mis-match which can be caused by many things, but most likely, poor cable or not using double screened cable such as CT100 and/or "F" incorrectly fitted. Given that you have the problem with all three link TV's and you have a B&O link amplfier, if it is a cable issue the problem will be most likely between the AVANT RF output and the Link Amplifer.

Re: Ghosting on link TV

I have 3 tv's linked to my Avant at home. I always had a bad picture on the link TV's, I used to get diagonal lines across them so I have just fitted the B&O Link amplifier. The picture quality has improved alot but if I get up close to the TV's you can see feint horisontal lines and slight ghosting.

All my channels come through the Sky+ box because we don't have an aerial at our house. I suggest you use CT100 coax cable terminated with the correct type of connectors.

Also there is a RF link amplifier made by B&O to ensure the very best picture can be achieved on a link TV

You can review it HERE which also has a link to an FAQ on using it in a link system

Ghosting on link TV

I have a link from Avant to 7-40, but the image on the Avant has terrible ghosting.
