To be honest I did not click the picture to enlarge it I simply went on the smaller one provided. OK, it looks a little bit like it I agree, but I think that is only because you are looking for it too. I have seen many other phones in all the popular electronic shops that are based on a design like that. BT used to make (and perhaps still do) loads of upstanding phones, I used to have several. Its like I said earlier, in this day and age its pretty difficult to design something without it looking in part like an exisiting product somewhere on the planet. Why would Binatone of all companies try and copy a BeoCom 4 anyway? They would have no agenda for doing so. The BeoCom 4 is hardly a best seller in the phone range, why not imitate the BeoCom 6000 or the BeoCom 2? I don't buy it.

Personally, I don't think that looks anything like a B&O phone. I am not sure what comparison you are making but if its the BeoCom 4 then I can't see any similarities at all. The screen size is much smaller, the base is bulkier and quite different, the buttons don't resemble the BeoCom 4 at all and the tall traingular shape is nothing like that of the BeoCom 4.

On saying that - if it looked nothing like, how did you assume it was modelled on a BeoCom 4 ?
I anticipated someone asking me that Lee, it was the obvious response I suppose. My answer is that if you'd have to choose a B&O phone to compare then the only one to consider is the BeoCom 4, I mean it hardly resembles a BeoCom 2. Come on, do you honestly think that it is a copy of the BeoCom 4? We live in a world where so many innovations have been thought of its pretty difficult to come up with something without it very slightly looking like something else, but where do we stop if we start going down that route?

It looks more than slightly like it, did you look at the larger image? It is a direct copy (a very poor one) of the Beocom 4 design, a cylindrical concept split down the middle to give a base station and seperate handset. How is that not like the Beocom 4?

Concept is exact rip off of BeoCom 4, design is different in that it is cheap in looks and probably performance too. Looks more like a shaver.

Carol pointed this phone out to me a few Months ago on thr Argos website. Think it is a very lame attempt to copy a Beocom 4 IMO. Carol on the other hand quite likes it.

The basic shape is the same, but I don't think anybody is going to think they've got the same as B&O with one of those...

I hope for the company that this was not meant to be a BeoCom4 copy. If it was, then they absolutely should fire the "designer"

We have all seen some really bad & lazy copies of B&O over the years - remember that awful copy of a Bsnd 9000 .
