The DVD player in BC2 has much better playability then DVD1 and can show jpeg. And Div.X

As an Ouverture lover I would urge you to keep yours if at all possible. In a different thread on the General Forum, Simon mentioned that he sold his BeoSound 2300 and now wants to buy one back!

As for the BeoCenter 2 I think it is a fantastic unit, especially as really is a two in one product, offering audio and/or visual source. The design is also as good as it gets in my opinion. Get one

if you can, keep the ouverture for a link room,then you dont lose tape and gram,

agree with peter not sure you will get any better cd or dvd reproduction, in my opinion you wont regret the beocenter 2, it is very sleek and takes the sliding doors to a whole new level

Much better display if you use N.Music. Which is an excellent substitute for a tape player. Don't think that CD and DVD reproduction is better though you do get a digital out which allows you to upgrade.

i currently have an ouverture and a DVD1 and am thinking of changing to a Beocenter 2

now, i will lose the tape, data link for my gram...but i will gain one less box and DAB radio

any other gains and or loses

i am thinking along the DVD line..better..worse,,same..CD`s same question...

thoughts much appreciated
