My old beolink 1000 mk 2 (I think) had been behaving badly for some days, not responding to commands all the times. Then today when it wouldn&amp;rsquo;t respond I shook it a bit, and still no respond. Then a short while after I noticed that the beolink 1000 became very hot&amp;nbsp;around the battery compartment (I ofcourse removed the batteries instantly). &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;"&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;&lt;font color="#003300"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font face="Times New Roman"&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;"&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;&lt;font color="#003300"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font face="Times New Roman"&gt;Have any of you others experienced this? Where in the battery compartment could the short cut be? (I haven&amp;rsquo;t had time to take my faulty BL1000 apart yet).
