&lt;p&gt;This is an old thread resurrected because he is selling a rare piece of B&amp;amp;O shop equipment for being able to switch sources between lots of different speakers to allow comparsion demonstrations between speaker types&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So the SHIFT+PHONO and then a Number allows the demonstrator to say &amp;quot;now we will listen to the second movement on the B&amp;amp;O xxxx&amp;quot; et cetera&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Got it, that is how you select which pair of speakers you want to listen to. If I remember correctly you connect up to 16 pairs of speakers.&lt;/p&gt;
