Unfortunately you can only choose Ouverture as link room product in the config guide and not 3000 or 9000.

For the ouverture the SW version has to be higher then 2.1. Before buying anything you have to know which sw versions of 3000 and 9000 do support option6!!

Unfortunately I don't know, but am pretty sure one of the technical advisor can help....

sorry, don't know as I never used A.AUX, but it should work. Restricion as mentioned above, only master room can be distributed.

Yes, but please note that the Beoport is not attached to a dedicated unit, it is part of the ML network and does act as master when playing MP3 or netradio, if the Audio master is able to handle N.MUSIC.

My old BeoCenter2300 was only able to handle option 0, 1 and 2. And I think only the latest versions of BS3000 and BS9000 are able to handle option 5 and 6, maybe some of the tech freaks can confirm (Keith, Graham, Gerd,...)

Concerning the reaction to IR:

Option0 disables the IR receiver completely, option1 allows only commands of the units own type (e.g. the unit a TV it will only receive video related commands), option2 receives Audio and Video commands and routes this ones not the unit itself via ML.

Option5 and 6 are link modes, which means that the unit will not send an audio stream over ML, it will only receive from ML. Difference is Option6 is for Audio and Video, where Option5 is for the units own type only (e.g if you have a TV and a Beosound in one linkroom you set both to 5).

Erm... wait... why would I not want it to react at all to the IR signal? Here are the things I want to be able to do:

1. choose between the CDs in either player in either room

2. Activate A.Aux in either room

3. Listen to the N.Music from the Beoport attached to the unit in room A, while in Room B

4. control all of it with Beo4

Is this possible?

As long as one of them is able to act as slave (option 6) it will work. Let's say you have a CD player in the main room and one in the link room: in the main room you can only listen to the main room CD, in the link room, if you press CD, the local player will work. To access the main room's CD you have to press LINK CD.

Hiya,

I have a question. What happens if you connect two B&O head units on masterlink... say... a BS4 and an Ouverture or maybe a BS9000? If you press CD, whose CD plays? If I press A.Aux, will my A.Aux problems finally be solved? (the problem being that the BL3500 in my bedroom doesn't react to A.Aux on the remote so I kept my old Century just to listen to what my Mac Mini is playing over the network). Would this work?
