It just basicaly makes it so it doesn't react to an IR signal.

Andy T.

My old BeoCenter2300 was only able to handle option 0, 1 and 2. And I think only the latest versions of BS3000 and BS9000 are able to handle option 5 and 6, maybe some of the tech freaks can confirm (Keith, Graham, Gerd,...)

Concerning the reaction to IR:

Option0 disables the IR receiver completely, option1 allows only commands of the units own type (e.g. the unit a TV it will only receive video related commands), option2 receives Audio and Video commands and routes this ones not the unit itself via ML.

Option5 and 6 are link modes, which means that the unit will not send an audio stream over ML, it will only receive from ML. Difference is Option6 is for Audio and Video, where Option5 is for the units own type only (e.g if you have a TV and a Beosound in one linkroom you set both to 5).

Marcus

Re: Two head units masterlinked... ?

jandyt:

I may be wrong but I think all audio masters which can be controlled by Beolink 1000/7000/5000 Beo4/5 can be put into Option 6.
