So, only five old items, then. Right -

1) Beogram 5000 - my favourite. It's the illumination when you open the lid that does it for me.....

2) Beocom 2000 phone - I can't imagine life without mine.

3) Beocentre 7700 - yes, music centres can sound superb

4) Beolab Pentas. Classic design and stunning sound - why haven't I bought myself a pair yet?

5) Beogram CDX - soooo pretty! (and yes, Peter, i know it's a second Beogram, but it's a CD player and my first was a turntable!)

Do you have a schematic for the 608, and does it use 6GV8 as power output tubes?

Why have so few of us come up with a television. (Yes, I know the AV5 also has a CD-player and a radio). Is this because of the TV Best design ever thread?

Great thread! My favourites (well some of them at least):

· Beogram 4000: The first tangential tracking turntable. Stunning.

· Beosystem 7000: I love this. All the components have the same appearance and can be stacked anyway you want. Beolink 7000 is nice too.

· Beocenter 9300: Yes, I know you should have a 9500, but the 9300 was the first B&O product I bought. I still have it and it will stay in my collection forever.

· Beovox 2500 cubes: These may be only supplementary speakers, but small can be beautiful.

· Beomaster 1200: It has the largest ever “slide rule” tuning pointer B&O ever used.

· Beolit 700: Number six, now I am cheating, but I just can’t get enough of that “slide rule”. the Beolit 700 was introduced in my year of birth (1974). Just a coincidence?

I love to list my favorites

Beolab - Beomaster 5000 (of course )
Beovox 2500 - Cube (the most beuatiful designed speaker product ....)
Beogram 4000 (the real tangential design - solid aluminium keybard --- so beutifull) (... and of course the Beogram 3000 counts Peter . I know its because of the UK version with Acoutical you put up your remark. Have a look at the Thorens version )
Minette - HiFi Amplifier 608 (a tube design)
Beolit 1000 - specially the goatskin version
Beomaster 1000 (this id a very special design I do love it) (Yes I know Peter I am not alowed to chose two Beomasters - but its too late now )

Actually my opinion of 60.2s has improved after hearing a pair with new capacitors fitted. Much better and although I still prefer S class speakers, I was quite impressed!!

Nice one Peter,

They are many classics I would like to own but what I have in my poker room I am delighted with.

Sat upon a lovely white Attyca stand is my BeoSystem 6500 in perfect condition (complete with MMC2) and mounted proudly on my walls are a pair of......wait for it........RL 60.2's in White.

I know that the RL's aren't the best sounding speaker and I have been tempted by 4500's and even 5000's but mine are in white and look stunning. Anyway it's only background music for when I'm taking money off my friends

Beolit 600 (JJ version)

+ lots of others in daily use, including my BM 900 + Beovox 1000s - my first ever B&O 5 years ago :)

....and hopefully due soon a 1970s BM 6000 quad!

To be fair, this really comes down to design era's. I love the stacking sets ( 5500, 6000 etc) and of course the sound comes into it, but I mainly like the black and silver stylings. Had I decorated fifferently, I would quickly go for one of the wood/laminate sets. Similarly, I think this comes down to what style era you fall into. As it is, we've witnessed the change from rectanges such as the BS2300 to curves like the BC2 or the new BeoLabs.

For now, the only curves I'm willing to accept are the LP platter and the volume dial on my Master Control Panel

If I could only have 5 components:

- BM4500 (beauty)

- BG CD 4500 (beauty)

- BL5000 (spkrs - amazing how good these sound when hung at the right height)

- BL7000 (to control it all)

- LC2 (to create the mood)

5 components I would love to have:

- BM8000 (would love to hear my CDX through this)

- BC9000

- BC5000 type 47xx (to go with my BM6000 quad)

- BC7700 (first product with 2-way IR, the best idea B&O ever killed off)

- BL Penta 2s (for my BC9500)
