Well spoke to the dealer and he said the adapter cant be ordered anymore,......I tried some adjustable adapters but so far no power ?

Its not that it needs full batteries ? I assume it should run on adapter only ,...and the batteries were backup for power failure ?,...

Well it was advertised as beotalk 1500, when up for private sale. But same as you, I wondered if it was a 1401 ? from the booklet it says the following; Beotalk forms together with a Beocom 1400 or 1500 a combined phone and answering machine. So from that I gather it could be a beotalk 1500. Basicly I think it looks like the beotalk 1400 ( the difference is probably in the telephone horn. )

Do you know if its supposed to a double plug ? one on the other ,...same as when you want to use an extra phone on the same wall socket ?

I looked for an adapter and from what I read in the booklet it should be 4,5 wat. I have tried it for it was a variable adapter but no lights or what so ever seem to turn on.

Anybody has an adapter still hanging around for a Beotalk 1401 ,or as I am to believe for a Beotalk 1500 ?

Lets start by making sure we are talking about the same product, is the product you purchased a Beotalk 1401 ?

I am only aware of Beotalk 400, 1100, 1200, 1400/01 and Beotalk 1100 & 1200 are the most available and used.

I have purchased a second hand beotalk 1400 / 1500.

Reading the book that came with it I think i miss a "transformator". adapter

Also there are two plugs one from the answering machine needs to be plugged in the line socket.

secondly a plug ( according to the book ) should be plugged into the base of the phone? problem is i dont see a proper socket.

Does anybody who has a beotalk any clue what im dealing with here ?
