Hi Mark, i'm afraid it's a total loss, that is: this version is the worst one they ever made: because of aging the conductive layer comes off.

i've seen many of them 'fixed' with silver paint but also that comes off after some time, makes a shortcut, so the thing won't work again and drain the battery.

The nicest version is the one with real contact plates, this one is fixable because one can exchange these plates (with a donor), is a bit like the old thick (chocolate bar) remote.

the second best is the one with the double layer foil with the switches in it, these also last long.

As far as i know you can't get the foil with the dots anymore...

I think the cheapest option would be to get a cheap ugly but working one and exchange the inner bits (hoping it's a different version, from my experience most of these are with the double layer foil...).

Oh, if anyone really wants to knock himself out: i bet it's the cheapest bit of B&O ever: get 4 new rubber feet for it, cost 25 eurocent each and can be ordered via any dealer :):).

Looking at the pics mine is a MK4 with a single membrane with contacts inside.

It has two sets of numbers on the top could one of these be a part number??

7500276T1 and 321950

If it's a MK3 with the contact dots and holes as Damatt describes, I have repaired a membrane in the past with Silver Contact Paint succsessfully. Bloody dear stuff though! It is usually used for fixing heated back windows on cars (Especially Skodas)

MK1 & MK2 are the ones without the light button.

Look at the back to determine which version you got (see picture below)

I don't think that you can get a replacement membrane for the MK3.

The MK3 has two membranes on top of each other, one with holes and one with black round contact points.

The MK4 has one membrane with the contacts inside the membrane.

Hi Mark.
I am pretty sure your dealer could order this for you and, since you already have it apart, you should be able to fit this yourself.
Don't know the price but, as a guideline, the Beo4 one costs just over ten pounds, sterling.

You can still get these repaired but the cost might surpass the cost of a new unit. Call your local service center, they will probably be happy to give you a price.

Hi i have a BL1000 MK11 (i think) it has the light button at the top.

Can you still get a replacement membrane for the keypad (the thin clear plastic one inside) as mine is not working.

I cleaned it and took the conductive strips of the top.
