I have a curved screen 28" vcr model here and it has spent its life in the living room of a heavy smoker. So it's in desperate need of a good clean of the glass screen in front of the tube.

There is no service manual on site and I'm not a fan of trial and error:)

Could somebody let me know please how to remove that plastic trim?

Re: Avant Contrast Screen

Cozza is correct. The later RF models are easy but the curved ones need to have the rear panel off and I cannot recommend this unless you know your way around a TV set. Very dangerous!! I certainly would not do it.

Re: Avant Contrast Screen

The screws are internal, unlike the LX and MX series. You have to take the back off the Avant to access them - and this should only be undertaken by a qualified technician.

Re: Avant Contrast Screen

Its a 28".

Basically I presume you can remove the black plastic trim from around the screen.
