guys, thanks a lot for all your advises... I will have a look into all of them but I have the feeling that all the settings of the PS3 are correct. Some of the issues with the video are really bad... sound problems are minor... especially this one line of pixels which scrolls down when I watch DVDs is terrible. If anybody else has an idea/advise about these please let me know... thanks once more. Regards

I have received last week my new BeoVision 9 and have to say that I'm really SUPER HAPPY with it: Picture is stunning and the set up I have now is: BeoVision 9 including DVB-T/S & Beomedia 1 (connected wireless to my iMac) / a pair of BeoLab 9 / a pair of BeoLab 6000 / BeoLab 2 / BeoLab 3500 in another room / BeoSound 9000
I also bought a Playstation 3 to use it mostly as a DVD/Blue Ray player, but this is giving me some problems now:
- when I watch BlueRay sometimes the audio disappear for a second or 2 + every now and then it seems like there's a problem in the left bottom corner of the screen;
- when I watch DVD it looks like every couple of minutes there's a line of pixels which comes down from the top of the screen to the bottom... and it takes about 30 seconds to make the entire way;
These issues are very disturbing, and I'm wondering if problem is the BeoVision 9 (maybe the BS3)? ...or the PS3 instead? ...or the HDMI cable?
Please note that I had the PS3 before the TV and watched some DVDs on my previous TV without any problem.
what is your advise on this??? Any help would be very appreciated...

Congrats to your amazing setup. And YES BV9 is so amazing. Kicks ass with every TVset in the world. Incl BV7-40 MK3

I had for a short time PS3 connected to BV9 and it works nice. Have you set the right resolution in PS3 meny = 1920x1080?

I ask a kind of a similar question in the german forum. I connect my BV9 (BS3) via HDMI with the PS3. But I got no sound at all with the Spidermen 3 BlueRay Disk. In general the connection work and I get all click sounds from the PS3 thru the BS3 to my Loudspeakers. Then I experiment a little-bit with the PS3 Sound Setup when I disable all PCM staff and enable only DTS and Dolby surround the result was I got the BD Sound. Make anyone the same experience ...

I have exactly the same problem with the Audio! Toshiba HD-DVD Xe1 conected to a BS3. Very anoying!

I thought that it would be a problem with the Tosh, but now it could be the BS3 causing this defect?

I've used my PS3 with a BS3 and non-b&o plasma without the problems you describe, so it could be you bv9 which has some problems.
