It is not unknown in this model for the EW circuit to fail ... this issue could be attributed to components rather than scan coils.

There are several adjustments on module 53 relating to picture alienment, however these are not standard user adjustments that you may find on a computer monitor. Normally these only need adjustment after a component replacement.

However, before going down that route, I would ask if this problem has just occurred, in other words was the picture previously correct ?

The problem you describe is call "Pin Cushion Distortion" in the industry and can also be caused when the scanning coils on the neck of the tube have moved down the tube a short distance. This can occur when the TV has been moved a lot or been under some vibration.

So, I think I need to ask the following questions:-

Has the picture previously NOT had the Pin Cushion Distortion ? if yes when did it first occur ?
Has the TV been moved at lot prior to the problem ?
Has the TV had any component chnages by a TV repair techician ?

Are you a technical person able to make internal adjustments if needed ?

Hi I have just bought a BV LX2502 for my daughters bedroom (link room) the sound and picture are great but on the picture it curves in at the center. More noticable when using teletext it looks like ) ( but not as bad. Is there any ajustment ? (i know you can on a computer monitor) Thanks
