Use a cotton bud moistened with isopropyl alcohol (polycarbonate lens cleaner), and carefully clean the lens with circular movements. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Dry the lens with the dry end of the cotton bud. No idea why, mine was a MKII unit and it was easily fixed by service but it wouldn&amp;#39;t work flat at all suffering the same problem you describe. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Could be another avenue to try.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;... Try cleaning the clear plastic tabs that stick out of the aluminum. Sometimes that can be an issue. I would suspect that your laser is going out and that moving it from the wall is coincidental.
