Make sure as well that you're connected to the IN connections on the AUX input, not the OUT connections. The socket carries sound in AND out of the unit, and if you connect to the output instead of the input, you'll end up with really quiet, flat weak sound.

Re: Beosound 9000 connect pc via AUX but sound quality is terrible. I had the same issue, even at max volume it was noticeable weaker then any other device. My solution was to buy an airport express .... that somehow sounded way better and it didn't have the difference in volume when switching from radio or cd to aux.

Cheers

JK

Beosound 9000 connect pc via AUX but sound quality is terrible. So I fire up I Tunes and pick a track, select AUX on the 9000 and the music appears fine.

The thing is - the quality is awful. The MP3 is CD quality, so that's not the issue. I do have to turn up the volume on the PC to high and crank the 9000 volume higher than normal.

Any ideas? Should I just go out and get a Beolink?

Cheers,

J
