Here is the upcoming BV 7-40 100Hz Motion Plus !

A re-badged Samsung LE-40F86BD 100Hz with contrast glass screen and different B&o video algorithm for 1500€ i assume!?

I would say no because i can´t see any motion sickness at all on my MK III...

I do´nt think It´s like the MK II - MK III BS3 upgrade...

"Time will tell" how big difference it going to be...

I really hope that B&O soon put into action this technology.

Finally this event has been confirmed by my dealer too.

BeoSystem3 and BV7-40 will fit the 100Hz technology next year however there isn't a fix date yet.

I've already started saving anyway

With standard aerial signal you get what you feed it with so it is a few steps better than the MK II.. ( Crap in gold out=)

But with DVD it´s like welcome to Paradise! The picture have tons of micro detail and the upscaling to 1080p HD must be one of the best upscaling in the world or i have ever seen!

The colors are rich and have great dept and everything looks so real.. no plastic feeling in the picture...

I read an very interesting article about 100HZ / 24p in the Swedish magazine Hemmabio (= Home Cinema) today!

The article described that the 100Hz and 24p technology are just a selling nonsense!! Because 24p and 100Hz dissent work so very well together!

If we do a little simple math here.. If you take 100 divided with 24 you get 4.1 pictures. And then take 4 x 24 you get 96 pictures. It docent sync at all with 100Hz as the manufactures say.

I could be therefore B&O doesn't put the 100Hz 24p technology in the BV 7 or BV 9 Full HD because it´s not going to approve the picture just more struggle for the video possessing to calculate. = More artefact's!

They did mentioned in the article that some High End brands haven't jumped on this 100Hz train yet, because it´s a "dog hidden some where" they didn't say any names but i can assume they meant B&O for example..

I trust the great high speed in the processor of my inbuilt BS3, so i don´t need the 100Hz 24p nonsense talk...!! I can´t see any motion sickness at all !?

Why do i need 100Hz 24p then..!

Could you say more about standard definition source. For example, what about TV performance? How does it work with BS3 upscaled? Does it works better than the mkII or not? And what about DVD performance...

To be honest, I don 't understand why B&O did not include the 100HZ technology right now. It is available for months now.

By the way. A beauty to look at. The new BV7. But I miss the red letters in the screen :-)

Anyway, the forthcoming BV7 Mk III will be 50 Hz and it upgrades in the 2008.
We can see it in a few days...and sharing our impression about new chassis and new panel.

Now i finally have my BV7 MK III ! ( In my bedroom=)

Niveau:
Will there also be a new chassis ? I'm the "lucky" owner of a one year old 7-40 MKII..
I wonder how the market will go, and how the MKII's can be upgraded to MKIII's. If ionly the flatpanel could be updated, I could probably live without the BS3.

Sadly you won't just be able to update the panel. The MKIII is an entirely new TV with an updated BS3-based chassis. You can't 'upgrade' a MKII to a MKIII, you can only trade it in and pay for an upgrade to the new TV.
