I can control my i-pod nano from everywhere in the house - it`s the Link-version connected to A.TAPE2 at Beosystem 7000, so I control it in N.MUSIC mode... makes sense for me. It´s possible to change playlists, using number keys and pressing STBY means i-pod powers off also - ibundo works different, not very beo-like I think...

IMHO it would be well worth chipping as it displays everything thats on the iPod Screen and gives a display on your TV of what's playing - it should be possible i would have thought once it's chipped to plug it into one of the Scart sockets on a TV and have it configured as a Video Device - thus sound and picture could be routed through to link rooms without the need for a seperate modulator and the lintronic box?

I am here... just not so active sometimes. The Onkyo dock sounds interesting. Maybe should chip that one so it accepts B&O commands?

As far as I know, it is only available in white colour.

Some technical data:

output: audio and S-video
commands over Beo4:

Power on/off
Play / pause
Forward / Rewind
Forward / backward skip
Volume +/- on the audio output (only useful if you don't connect it to a B&O system)

a white LED which will illuminate your iPod

I spent a while looking at these and ended up getting the Onkyo dock as it has a video output to your TV and allows you to see and select albums, playlists etc. on the TV Screen making navigation much easier - they're about £70 - but doesn't work with the B&O Remote - so bought a Lintronic Converter which converts the commands and has the advantage that you can extend the system to operate in different rooms - I can control and see on the TV in the kitchen the iPod and listen to the sound through Beolink Active. Happy to supply details or take some pictures of it in action (once I've tidied up the wiring this weekend!) - I now practically use it all the time and anyone else who visits with an iPod can just plug it in. The added advantage of the Lintronic box is that you can use it to program other devices such as DVD's and Satellite. So my living room has full control of everything including the iPod from one Beo4.

I own one of these. It has an IR receiver of it's own and won't use the receiver of other B&O systems (so changing tracks in a link room is not possible). If you do not operate it out of a link room, I can fully recommend it.

I have never seen or used one of these before, but the idea looks good to me if you're attached to your iPod!
