It's your DVD player or STB you need to setup to use 4/3 not your Avant

Thanks guys.... sorry to be so late replying been emptying a flooded celler.

As I suspected then. My Avant is the old vcr version so I´m not sure if it´s possible to alter the output of this.

No it not possible to change format, on a MX3000 only on MX4200 last model in the serie.

Only way is to set the DVD player in the Avant to 4/3 output...

Hi Kevin.
I imagine that a TV from the late 80s would be unlikely to have the capabilities to change format.
Could this be done when it was a standalone TV?

MX3000 picture format

Hi all,

well I´ve finally got the MX3000 setup as a link TV using my Avant´s RF feed.

It all works very well except the MX doesn´t change the picture format to letterbox.

Does anyone know if it can or what the best solution would be.
