Q2: I believe if you use Beolink passive as an amp (connected through Masterlink) for non B&O speakers you could option the system to be controlled through the amps commands and therefore would still work seamlessly with the one remote, Beo4 or Beo5. If you use a non B&O amp and non B&O speakers (using the digi out or powerlink to RCA) you would then need a second remote, Beo4 or Beo5 for controlling BS9000 and a second non B&O remote to control your amp.

Is that right? Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

I had all my external Xmas lights working through one LC1 a few of years ago. Each year we added more lights til eventually the tiny fuse blew!
I always add up my watts now.

For Q2, yes, you need an external amplifier.

I think the Beolink Passive from B&O can be used as an exernal amplifier, and is quite good.

I am not very good in german but I think this is one from detoma, that would work fine as well.

They do not have the same power, so you may see which one is the most appropriate.

I recently say an LC2 fitted to a 4 plug extension socket, enabling 4 lamps to be dimmed together.

Hi John

Can't answer Q2, but for your first question, you can connect a LC2 controller to one or a number of lights as long as the combined wattage is not over 300 watts. The Beo4 handset or using the globe will therefore dim all the lights together.

You can have as many controllers as you want in an area connected to as many different lights as you wish. You can then number each controller and program the beo4 to dim, turn off, turn on etc any contoller separately or together. The user guide talks about creating a 'picture'

I have 7 conrollers in one room and the effects are stunning, especially with guests.

Hi there. Can anyone help with these 2 enquiries:

1)Do you need one LC2 controller for each light or can you program one for a number of lights?

2) How can you use the Beosound 9000 with non-b & o speakers. Do you need to get another amp. I'm taken by the Artcoustic flat panel speakers!
