They are an ok speaker but need good quality amplification to sound their best.&nbsp;They have the rubber surrounds around the bass driver so at least they wont deteriorate.</p><p>They can&#39;t be compared with any speaker in the current range. The current range all sounds better than the S45 II&#39;s. No damage at all, except some very small scratches in the wood.&nbsp;So, what I&#39;m wondering about&nbsp;is:</p><p>&nbsp;1. Are they good speakers? In my opinion, they&#39;re quite good, but on the other hand, I&#39;ve never really had a pair of good speakers to compare them with. Which of todays speakers can they be compared to?</p><p>&nbsp;2. What are they worth?</p><p>Any info on this will be much appreciated.</p></div><div style="clear:both;"></div>
