I just received my Beoport Box yesterday and I tried it out first with a Beosound 4000 (larger CD Clamper version) which is located in the bedroom (the computer is closer to the bedroom)... I made all the connections, etc... Added N.Music to the Beo4, and pressed it (no response from iTunes on my G5 (with BM Link installed). But the Beosound 4000's display showed "A.TAPE2"

Freaking out thinking the Beoport I got was busted, I got out the 60ft masterlink cable and connected it to my Beosound 9000 in the living room, and viola! It worked great!

I can only surmise 2 things:

(1) The shorter ML cable I used was bad (I should have tried it with the longer cable, but we had guests coming and I couldn't be fiddling around with B & O or the wife would get mad!)

or (2) The Beosound 4000 software needs to be updated to accomodate N. Music... I wish I was at home right now so I could get the SW number for all of you reading.

Again, it's a Beosound 4000 with the larger clamper (newer version), it has Beolab 2500's connected to it. When I was testing the Beoport Box, I had no speakers connected to the box itself.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

-Sal
