-Yeah, thanks all. As I already realiced that this is the kind a problem that's related to the "security power down" cirquit, there might be some trouble "faultfinding". As soon as the set turns on, It shuts down, so it's not so easy to make measurements on voltage levels ans so. Think I'd first need to disable some cirquit to get the set going. Initially, when the problem first started to appear, the set were just slightly unwilling to start (as in had to press the remote ON four or five times). Also I ruled out that the remote itselve had some "stuck buttons" (which happened tvo years ago when my daughter at 2,5 years (then) splashed a glas of lemonade across the remote). Had to clean it out with tiny cotton earpicks, to stop the telly from swiching channels, randomly and continiously.

OK I think I just get going by opening the set, and have a look what kind a hints I get from the PCB's "silcscreens".

The set does indeed have self protection,as do all the B&O telly's of recent type.

The "powerfail" system checks for real faults and "bus errors",and shuts the set down if it's not happy.

You really the full manual,as this gives an overview of the design,and service tips.

There were several variants to the chassis,but my manual is part No3538857.

As usual,take great care,even if you think you know what you are about,there are some seriously high voltages about in there!

Ok, actually i have the diagrams and (part of) the service doc but it's quite some work to copy and sent, talking you through may be easier and you probably may never need the service doc again....:).

(isn't the doc available on this site ??).

Thanks ipaul, and Yepp. I'm a research engineer at the University and quite comfortable with electronics. However I don't usually get into things without a scheme to follow. And this is the first "dive" into this TV-set.

So still I whish for a service manual or other electronic schemes on the MX 7000

Workbench topic actually, but anyway: first thing is if you're technical enough to do some servicing on the TV yourself, if not find someone who is to prevent dangerous situations or damage to your MX :).

Your MX is switched off by the build in computer because of a failure.

A good start: Check C102 connected to the Collector of the HT transistor, the soldering gets loose often here, also check the HT transistor for short circuit.

Hi, I've got an Beovision MX 7000 and imediately as I turn it on, the LED goes ON one second and then it goes back to OFF. I've been trying to find schemes / service manuals, but failed. Any one that could have a tip where to start search, or maby a scheme for Me?
