I plan to get a signal converter so we can hide away the DVD and STB and control it all with the Beo4, but it would be nice to also have the Beo1 present

I do. In fact I use the Beo1 to control my AppleTV via Lintronic. It works really well. The only function missing for AppleTV is Fast Scroll. I used it previously to control a DLO Ipod Dock.

I think the design idea behind the Apple Remote is similar to the Beo1, but B&O has a much more sophisticated design.

BTW, Beo1 only works with a certain release of the firmware. So if you have not updated your Lintronic in a while, you may need to do so. Check with the Lintronic site to be sure you're up to date.

I was wondering if anyone has been using a Beo 1 with the lintronic signal converter. I would love to do this, it's a beautiful remote. I'm only slightly skeptical on how functional it will be....
