This might be a stupid question, but have you been to the menu -> Connections -> AV4 and then set the HD option to YpPrBr?
I have mine running perfectly on my 7-32, but I don't know if there should be any particular difference on these.

Yeah, ive got the component cable to work on my Samsung hd tv but not the Beovision 7-40. However, ive read reviews of the Beovision 7-40 saying that they couldnt get it to work with the normal 360 lead and had to use a vga cable. Just bought a vga>dvi cable so hopefully all will be well, although im still sceptical!

If anyone else has used a vga>dvi cable for their xbox and found it to work or otherwise id be interested in hearing from them!

Hello Hoggy,

Have you made sure that the switch on the xbox cable is set to HD?

The switch is on the plug at the xbox end of the cable.

ive already had it up and running on the 3 component cables (AV4) but it wouldnt accept the other parts of the cable and i want the full hd experience! :) Ill look into buying the DVI/VGA adapter and see if that gets me up to 1080i!

I think (please correct me if I am wrong), that the VGA projector port on the BV7 is for output, not input.

I recently connected the xbox360 to my BV7 via the component video cables (the 3 cables that look like the audio ones). It worked perfectly.

Alternately, you can get a DVI<->VGA adapter (costs a few euros), which will allow you to connect the VGA cable of the XBOX on the DVI socket of the BV7...

In both cases, you need to configure the input audio/video sources on the configuration menu of the TV...

Hey guys,

im struggling to get my XBOX VGA cable to work on my Beovision 7-40. With regards to the cable, the video is plugged into the projector socket (this is the only place it fits) and the audio (red and white) are plugged in next to this. At the moment all i can get is sound on the PC setting but no picture. If ive plugged these in correctly can anyone tell me how i set up the tv? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
