Other times it opens just fine.

Another thing it does is switch the speakers from SPEAKER 5 (set with BS3) to just the central speaker when the main feature comes on in the disk. When the main feature has finished, it switches back to SPEAKER 5 as the menu select screen comes on. (I can switch to 5 during the feature via Beo4, but should I need to?)

Has anyone else come across these strange goings on after de-zoning?

Re: Multi-zoning a DVD 2

Hi guys,

Just to let you know the Service technician called by today and 'open-zoned' the DVD2. It took just over half an hour. Brilliant work!

Mike

Re: Multi-zoning a DVD 2

I had my BV7-40 dezoned. The DVD-player in BV7 can be "dezoned" by your dealer. I don't think there is a "Region 0-Option".

Multi-zoning a DVD 2

One of the 'promises' I received when I ordered a DVD 2 was that for a small fee, it could be multi-zoned/regioned. I need multiiple zones because almost half my DVD collection is made up of US and Canadian imports (the latter because they are in French and English).

I've just downloaded the service manual for the DVD 2 (thanks very very much to whomever sourced it) and found that Region 0 is not an option. Could this be an oversight in the manual, or can the machine only be set to one region at a time?

Critical decision on the horizon ...

Mike
