Provide consumers with a better image and sound.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;2. Provide content owners with an ability to lock content to prevent inappropriate use.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Some claim that 1 is the bait to make 2 simpler. Here&amp;#39;s the proud owner of a SONY Blu-Ray player struggling to play the Pirates of the Carribean Liars game.
