The defects are similar to Wings. I've opened the deck and reachead the mechanics. I would love, if possible, to have an mechanics manual in order to see any potential problems. Till now, i presume that the belts are very old and that's why no answer when a cassette is inserted. Can anyone help me with this document? Or some details about the belts? Specially the bigget one which is old. Sorry about my English and I hope I've been clear enough. If you find necessary I'll post some pictures next days. Thank you!

Re: Beocord 7000 -- cassette stuck

PM sent !

Martin

Re: Beocord 7000 -- cassette stuck

Dillen:

That won't do any good, I'm afraid.

I am not at home at the moment, I will PM you details to look for as soon as possible, which probably means thursday.

Martin

Hi, Dillen.

When it is convenient, please send me a PM with the details. Thank you.

Wings

Re: Beocord 7000 plays only for one second - broken wire

Thanks for the advice !

It seems you won [:-)] There is a broken wire inside the DIN plug. Fortunately almost immediately I found a broken wire on an open PCB on the bottom of the drawer. It was the lower red wire on the attached picture.

After I soldered it back the fast forward, rewind and playing in reverse direction was fine. Then I checked the whole winding mechanics - the forward direction rubber roller assembly was loosen ( fortunately not broken ). I mounted it back ( at first I missed the lower tiny spring... ) and then the unit was working fine !

I would not believe that this unit is so sensitive to transportation. It happened despite I took it as hand luggage wrapped in bubble foam to avoid the shocks...

Tibor

Re: Beocord 7000 - plays only for one second

Thanks for the prompt reply !
