Ah - that "I've just lost a tenner & found a tanner" expression I know sooooo well. Funny, it's only my girl (Marnie) who defaults to this hangdog expression. Her brother (Zak) is the complete opposite but a bit of a loony!

Thanks guys thats been a great help. I will start the hunt for the mirror panel, if anyone knows of any available please get in touch.

I will try the carpet tape first to see how I get on.

Some parts are still available for these but I'd be quick as I suspect this will be limited to whatever dealers may have left in stock so you may have to shop around to find anything.

The problem with removing the old tape is ensuring you don't scratch the silk printed black areas on the glass itself.

Best bet is to use epoxy resin to reattach the panels although I know Craig has used carpet tape on a BC9000 with good results and means they can at least be removed again if needs be. Foam tape tends to be too thick and interferes with the touch sensitivity.

PS. How did you get your Weimer' to sit still long enough (while awake - see my Avatar) to take a photo? I suspect bribery was involved somewhere

You can use Double Sided Carpet Tape to stick the Sensitouch panel back on. Did it to my old Beocenter 9000. Try to get the thinnest possible. Tried a Foam type tape first and it was too thick, and the panel would not work.

Hi guys,

My brother has just purchased a BM 4500. It is working ok and is in reasonable condition, however the glass touch panel is loose and the top center section of the touch panel plastic frame is missing. There are some scratches on the mirrored panel.

Does anyone have the service manual?

Does anyone know if the mirrored panel and the plastic frame round the touch panel are still available from B&O?

Can anyone recommend a type of sticky foam tape to stick the touch panel back on, or is this available from B&O?

How best to clean the underside of the touch panel to remove the old tape without damaging the matt areas that sit over the sensors?

It would be great if I could get some answers to the above.
