The problem with having loads of drivers all at a relatively large distance from each other, is you end up with ridiculous directionality, as each cone will cause comb filtering over every other cone. Single drivers for each frequency make much more sense, ala BeoLab 5.

Wouldn't work - too great a distance between the different drivers, relative to the little ear. Which is what really makes the BL3 the performer for this kind of weirdness - the drivers are so close together that you get a perfect sound "spray" straight at you.

Next week I'm getting one of these, to be placed right smack in the middle of these speakers.

Found a Wegner daybed in perfect condition, with brown cloth cover.

How they sound? In a marble house? Think resonance and echo!!!

But you're right - with some interesting, expressive architecture, with strong areas of interchanging light and dark, you would get stunning reflections in these. Not just sound reflecting off marble.
