The topic of the Beosound 6 worrys me, and provokes me to remember reading about how much hard work B&O put in with manufacturing the Beovison 4... yeah.

Would anyone think I was being sarcastic if I suggested that inside are going to be circuit boards, a battery, something in the way of an LCD & other such things that us non-electronical-understanding bods wot not of?

Well, having seen the Beosound 6 on the picture, leads me not to be amazed by this product.

IMHO, that's a rebadged Samsung MP3 player at a hefty price. That's far from what we were used to see in the past with B&O's former products.

Not my taste as I do not see or recognize the B&O touch and magical feeling. I hope the design department will do better in the future.

Let's see then.

Often B&O products only get to you once you have seen them in flesh; but I agree with some of the concerns mentioned above.

This seems like a too easy design for a B&O product; looks more like a metal casing only. I still do not believe that what we have seen so far is the actual design. In the B&O site I only have seen it in reference to earphones/speakers (the 'bring your own mp3 player' commercial!) and not in reference of the BS6. Therefore I still hope that we will be surprised for the official launch of the beosound 6!

Yes, also what i think. Looks a little like they took a samsung mp3 and just put it into a metal box. And in general the form factor is very very usual and normal. Not really B&O like somehow

Why B&O just rebadged and reclothed an old MP3 player from Samsung for the Beosound 6, instead of doing that with a new player? Now that Samsung has announced their new YP-P2 player, the B&O one seems outdated with its small screen :

Hm, i don't know. Somehow i don't find the BeoSound6 special. It looks about the same like all the other MP3 players you see at every electronic discount store.

Okay, perhaps the material used is better, and the display itself too. But overall it's not that special, it's not very B&O.

Japan's release is late september or early October according to my local store if that helps. LOL.

We normally get things a little late, just a week or two or at the same time. Sometimes not at all.

I guess you've missed all the threads in the past about them then!

I'm looking forward to seeing the BeoSound 6, as it's an important piece of kit for B&O, but I'm not sure it's going to be quite as special as the BeoSound 2.
